Readers' Stories New Age Tiscali

I was half awoken from a deep sleep one night by the sound of a womans voice saying "Right". Although I did not open my eyes I was aware of a man and a woman standing by the side of the bed where my partner was fast asleep. Although I saw the womans face clearly, my vision of the man only went up to his chest.

I did not feel threatened by their presence and after a few minutes of listening for any other sound I must have gone back to sleep. Some time later I was awoken again by the sound of a carrier bag rattling (I have a waste bin by the bedroom door and I always line it with a carrier bag). This time I was wide awake, sat up in bed, frightened scanning the room but could see nothing. I stayed awake for some time after listening for any other sounds but heard nothing more and eventually fell asleep.

The next morning my partner woke me up and said "Someone woke me up last night". Thinking it was me and not immediately remembering the events of the night I apologised for snoring. "No it was not you" he said, "Someone woke me up. There was a man and a woman stood by the side of the bed and one of them prodded me in the chest to wake me up. I can remember opening my eyes and seeing them - she was holding a carrier bag but I can't remember any more than that".

I immediately told him what happened to me during the night! If only one of us had experienced this we would have put it down to dreaming but what do we assume now?
