I lost my husband whilst I was pregnant

Dear Lyn
I lost my husband 03.10.00 in a RTA while 7 months pregnant. I already had a daughter of 4 years old, we were together for 7.5 years but only married for a small 2.5yrs but the years we did have were amazing as he was such a lovable guy. I had no faults with him except his snoring, I think that makes things harder. It has been very hard to cope with all of this as the court case and every thing was very long-winded it took, 5 years in total. I keep having nightmares of when I had to identify my partner as the hospital had not cleaned my husband up or closed his eyes. It is torturing me even now, and my relationship with my daughter has fallen apart since, she was a Daddies girl.

Has my husband got a message for us all as life isn't getting better for any of us, I thought after the court case it would ease but to be honest it's as raw as the day it happened.

Dear Clari,

Please find quiet space where you won't be disturbed. Put on some music that you both enjoyed, of about 10 minutes duration. Sit down in a comfortable chair and close your eyes. Imagine, in your mind's eye, a lovely garden or a pleasant beach. Blue skies overhead, warmth and softness beneath your feet. Then imagine your partner joins you as he was before the accident that took him over. Enjoy the sensations and experience. When the music stops, allow the images to leave, remember where you are, sitting in your chair in the room. Take a deep breath and open your eyes.

It's ok to do this once a week for a while. Always be aware that you should say a little prayer beforehand – such as: I thank God for all the blessings I receive in my life and the love I have known. And afterwards for the experience you have been given under the protection of your guardian angel.
Many blessings to you - I trust you'll feel better.
Lyn
