The Fingers
Palmistry deals with the thumb separately from the fingers which are read differently from each other.

Finger Spacing
The First Finger, next to the thumb is called the Index Finger, or
Finger of Jupiter.

The Second Finger, next to the Index finger is called the Middle Finger, or
Finger of Saturn.

The Third Finger, next to the Middle finger is called the Ring finger, or
Finger of Apollo.

The Fourth Finger, And the last one is called the Little Finger, or
Finger of Mercury.

Generally the longest finger is about seven-eighths the size of your palm. If they are as long as your palm, then your fingers are considered long.

In relation to the fingers, the thumb is normally higher than the bottom joining of the index finger.

The ring finger normally reaches the base of the nail of the middle finger and the little finger should reach the top joint of the ring finger.

If your little finger stands apart from the ring finger then you tend to be independent.

Finger Shapes
Heavy fingers show a physical nature. Long and slim signifies more of an emotional and aggressive type of person.
Short and thick shows that the person is very emotionally comfortable.

If your index finger is longer than the normal length, you tend to be a leader and tell others what to do. If it is shorter however, then you tend to sit back and let others control you.

If your ring finger is longer than the normal height, you may tend to have an artistic talent, as well as a reckless and wild nature.

If your little finger is shorter than the normal length, it shows that you lack the ability to influence others. If it is longer, then you tend to be very articulate, and good at writing and selling.
