How can I cope with my heavy periods?

Can I buy a product over the counter to delay my period by one week?

Answer
No, but your doctor can prescribe such a treatment for you. This is called norethisterone and is taken three times a day, starting just before your period is due.

You can take it for as long as you want the period to be delayed for. Once you stop taking the treatment, your period will begin.
