After a vasectomy

Bleeding after a vasectomy
Will a vasectomy make me impotent?
Question
I had a vasectomy about 18 months ago.
Once the initial bruising and swelling went away I found that one of my testicles could be painful. This is only when it is touched or knocked roughly, but is notable more so than before the vasectomy.
Also there seems to be two lumps on each testicle that were not there before. These lumps have not changed size so I have not seen my doctor about them, but could you explain what they could be?
Answer
This is very probably just scar tissue â caused by the incisions made during the vasectomy. (It's nobody's fault!)
The only way you could be reasonably certain is to go back and have a check by the surgeon who did your vasectomy.
Yours sincerely
Dr David Delvin, GP
