Circumcision for tight foreskin
Other Qs & As
I have a tight foreskin that cannot be pulled back.
I went to see the doctor who referred me to a specialist. I was told I'd need a circumcision and possibly a skin graft.
I am a bit concerned about the skin graft and would be grateful if you could give me more information on it. Also how long would the recovery be? How long would I be in hospital for and how long would I be off work for?
Answer
A lot of guys have excessively tight foreskins. The usual remedy is a circumcision, but some surgeons do other operations designed to 'loosen' the skin.
Sorry: I have no idea why your surgeon has mentioned a skin graft.
I'm afraid you'll have to ask him why he would want to do that. Since it's his graft operation, you also need to put to him your questions about the graft.
However, if you end up having an ordinary circumcision, it's unlikely that the surgeon will want to keep you in hospital for more than a day.
Unless your job is heavily physical, you wouldn't need more than a week off.
Yours sincerely
