Apart from surgery, is there any other way to prevent inverted nipples?
Answer
Yes. During preparation for breastfeeding, midwives may use several remedies, including the application of suction to attempt to correct an inverted nipple.
There is a device called the Avent Niplette that uses suction in this way.
Unfortunately if this doesn't work, you may well find that surgery is your only alternative.
