My three-month-old baby has cradle cap.
His head smells 'sour', is this normal?
Does cradle cap have an odour?
Answer
This is very, very common.
You can get both creams and shampoos to treat cradle cap.
If it is smelling sour then there may be some fungal infection there too that requires treatment.
Ask your health visitor or your GP to have a look and see if the baby does need any special treatment.
Cradle cap is not serious and mostly it will go away all by itself.
Yours sincerely
