Voltarol emulgel P (Contd)

How can this medicine affect other medicines?

When it is used on unbroken skin this medicine is unlikely to be absorbed in sufficient amounts to affect other medicines that are being taken by mouth.

No interactions have been reported between Voltarol emulgel P and other medicines. However, the manufacturer recommends that Voltarol emulgel P should not be used in combination with any other medicines containing diclofenac. It should only be used with caution in combination with other NSAIDs that are taken by mouth, for example ibuprofen, as this may increase the risk of side effects.

You should tell your doctor or pharmacist what medicines you are already using, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before using this medicine. Similarly, check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medicines while using this one, to ensure that the combination is safe.
