Side effects

How can this medicine affect other medicines?

Antacids used for indigestion, eg magnesium trisilicate, reduce the absorption of proguanil hydrochloride from the gut, which may mean the full dose is not absorbed. To avoid this, the dose of proguanil should not be taken within two to three hours of taking an antacid.
