How can this medicine affect other medicines?

The effects of methoxamine may be increased when used together with sympathomimetic medicines such as decongestants appetite suppressants amphetamine-like psychostimulants The blood pressure raising effect of methoxamine can be markedly increased when taken together with mono-amine oxidase inhibitor anti-depressants (or if MAOIs have been taken in the past 14 days). This efect also occurs when taken together with tricyclic antidepressants ergot alkaloids oxytocic medicines beta blockers guanethidine reserpine
