Side effects

Yeast infection of the mouth (oral thrush)

Increased pressure inside the eye (glaucoma) (prolonged use with high doses)

Decreased functioning of the adrenal gland (adrenal suppression) (prolonged use with high doses)

Supression of growth in children and adolescents (prolonged use with high doses)

How can this medicine affect other medicines?

High doses of budesonide can decrease the levels of potassium in the blood which may cause adverse effects. This effect can be increased by the following:- - Other asthma medicines such as salbutamol and theophylline - Diuretics such as bendrofluazide and frusemide
