How can this medicine affect other medicines?
The removal of methotrexate from the body may be reduced when taken together with pivmecillinam.
Probenecid reduces the removal of pivmecillinam and hence increases the blood levels.
Concurrent treatment with valproic acid, valproate or other medicines that liberate pivalic acid should be avoided.
