How can this medicine affect other medicines?

There may be an increase in blood pressure when naphazoline eye drops are used with blood-pressure lowering medicines such as beta blockers. There may be an increased risk of disordered heart rhythm when naphazoline eye drops are used with cardiac glycosides, quinidine or tricyclic antidepressants. Naphazoline may interact with mono-amine oxidase inhibitors and should not be used together with MAOIs or within 14 days of stopping therapy with MAOIs. Naphazoline may interact with other topically-applied medicines used in the treatment of glaucoma.
