How does it work?
Magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate are commonly used as antacids in a variety of preparations. They alter the acidity of the stomach's juices, by binding to excess acid.
What is it used for?
- Excess acid in the stomach (hyperacidity)
- Excess gas in the stomach and intestines (flatulence)

Heartburn
- Heartburn in pregnancy
- Nausea
- Upset stomach characterised by stomach pain and burning, nausea and excess gas (dyspepsia)

Use with caution in
- Decreased kidney function
Not to be used in
- Children under 6 years of age
This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Certain medicines should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, other medicines may be safely used in pregnancy or breastfeeding providing the benefits to the mother outweigh the risks to the unborn baby. Side effects

- Constipation
- High blood calcium level (hypercalcaemia)
- Alkaline body fluids and tissues (alkalosis)
- An increase in the amount of stomach acid produced
- Alkaline body fluids and tissues (alkalosis) which is associated with kidney failure (milk alkali syndrome)
