How does it work?
This preparation contains the female sex hormone progesterone in the form of a vaginal gel.
What is it used for?
- Abnormal uterine bleeding (without ovulation) before the menopause.
- Disorders of the menstrual cycle
- In vitro fertilisation where there is infertility due to defects of the fallopian tubes, endometriosis or unknown causes but with normal ovulatory cycles.
- Infertility due to inadequate luteal phase

Warning!
- This medicine may cause drowsiness. If affected do not drive or operate machinery.
- This preparation should not be used together with other local intra-vaginal treatments.

- Severely decreased liver function

Breastfeeding
- Known sensitivity or allergy to any ingredient
- Life long inherited blood diseases which can cause a variety of symptoms, including mental health problems (porphyrias)
- Vaginal bleeding of unknown cause
This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
- In case of corpus luteum deficiency, Crinone can be used during the first month of pregnancy.
- This medicine should not be used by breastfeeding mothers. Discuss this with your doctor.
