The side effects of vinblastine sulphate may be increased when used with erythromycin. Anticancer medication. - Vinblastine sulphate can cause a sudden shortness of breath and narrowing of the airways when given with mitomycin. - Bleomycin and cisplatin when used with vinblastine sulphate may result in life-threatening harmful effects on the heart. -Bleomycin when used with vinblastine may increase the risk of a side effect known as Raynaud's phenomenon. The response of the body to immunization is reduced by cytotoxic medicines. Therefore the effectiveness of vaccines may be poor and infection may occur in patients immunized with live vaccines.
