How does it work?

TCP sore throat lozenges contain the active ingredient hexylresorcinol, which is an antiseptic that also has local anaesthetic effects. It's antiseptic action kills the bacteria that may be associated with sore throats, while it's anaesthetic action helps relieve the pain.

The action of sucking the lozenge allows the active ingredient to work in the area of the discomfort, and also helps to coat, lubricate and soothe a sore throat.

What is it used for?

  • Sore throats.
  • Warning!

  • Do not take more than 12 lozenges in 24 hours.
  • If symptoms persist despite treatment, seek medical advice from your doctor or pharmacist.
  • Not to be used in

  • Children under six years of age
  • Fructose intolerance or a related metabolic disorder (the lozenges contain sucrose and glucose).
  • This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy. If you feel you have experienced an allergic reaction, stop using this medicine and inform your doctor or pharmacist immediately.

    Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
