Side effects

Headache
Rash
Itching (pruritus)
Abdominal pain
Diarrhoea
Disturbed sleep
Restlessness
Loss of contact with reality (psychosis)
Dizziness
Nausea and vomiting
Abnormal movements of the hands, legs, face, neck and tongue, eg tremor, twitching, rigidity (extrapyramidal effects)
Numbness

How can this medicine affect other medicines?
When used with ofloxacin the following medications increase the risk of convulsions:
- Non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID's)
- Theophylline
The blood thinning effects of warfarin and nicoumalone are enhanced with ofloxacin.
Ofloxacin increases the risk of kidney damage when used with cyclosporin.
Sucralfate reduces the absorption of ofloxacin - do not take within two hours of taking ofloxacin.
