How can this medicine affect other medicines?
The use of the following antiarrhythmic medicines with flecainide is not recommended:
- quinidine
- procainamide
- disopyramide
- lidocaine (lignocaine)
- mexiletine
- propafenone.
There may be a risk of impaired functioning of the heart (myocardial depression) if flecainide is taken with the following:
- other antiarrhythmic medicines
- beta-blockers
- calcium channel blockers, such as verapamil.
The following medicines may increase the blood levels of flecainide:
- amiodarone
- cimetidine.
