Dermax therapeutic shampoo

How does it work?

Dermax therapeutic shampoo contains the active ingredient benzalkonium chloride, which helps to treat a scaly dry scalp in two ways.

Firstly it binds to the dry skin scales and loosens them so that they can be easily washed away.

Secondly, benzalkonium chloride has antiseptic properties that help to destroy a yeast called Malassezia furfur. This yeast is commonly found on scaly scalps and aggravates the condition.

Dermax shampoo also contains coconut oil which soothes the scalp and conditions the hair.

Dermax shampoo can be used daily if necessary. It is important to make sure that the shampoo penetrates down to the scalp and that a rich lather is produced whilst using it, as this helps to remove the dry scales.
