How can this medicine affect other medicines?

ACE inhibitors or potassium salts increase the risk of high blood potassium levels (hyperkalaemia)and should not be given together. Spironolactone increases the levels of cardiac glycosides such as digoxin in the blood and should be monitored carefully when these medicines are used together. Spironolactone decreases the ulcer healing effects of carbenoxolone.
