How can this medicine affect other medicines?
There is an increased risk of irregular heart beats with:
-Amiodarone
-Terfenadine
-Pimozide
-Cisapride
-Halofantrine
These should not be used together in combination.
The effects of digoxin, flecainide and cimetidine are increased by quinine, possibly leading to toxicity.
There is an increased risk of fits if given together with mefloquine.
