How can this medicine affect other medicines?
Tell your doctor what medicines you are taking, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before you start treatment with this medicine. Likewise, always check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medicines during treatment with this one.
This medicine can interfere with the absorption of other medicines from the gut if they are taken at the same time. To avoid this, any other medicines should be taken at least 1 hour before or 4 to 6 hours after taking colestyramine.
