Side effects

How can this medicine affect other medicines?

Opioids should not be taken concurrently with all MAOI anti-depressants (e.g. tranylcypromine and selegiline) and for two weeks after the MAOI antidepressant has been stopped. When taken together with other medicines that have a sedative effect on the central nervous system, for example alcohol, medicines that induce sleep (hypnotics), antidepressant and antihistamines, drowsiness is likely to be increased .
