How does it work?
Potassium permanganate is a mild antiseptic. It is used to clean and deodorise oozing, eczematous skin conditions and wounds.
It is used in solution at a strength of 0.01% (one part in 10,000). Tablets (400mg) for dissolving in water are available. One tablet dissolved in six pints of water (3.4 litres) will produce a 0.01% solution.
