Side effects

How can this medicine affect other medicines?

Naratriptan should be avoided for 24 hours after the use of ergotamine or its other derivatives because of the risk sudden narrowing of the blood vessels (vasospasm). Naratriptan and other migrane medicines which work in a similar way (e.g.sumatriptan and zolmitriptan) should not be given at the same time as rizatriptan as there is an increased risk of adverse effects.
