Side effects

How can this medicine affect other medicines?

Isometheptene should not be given to those people taking monoamine-oxidase inhibitor antidepressants such as moclobemide as it may result in serious adverse effects. Long-term use of paracetamol may increase the blood thinning effects of anticoagulants such as warfarin. Cholestyramine may decrease the absorption of paracetamol from the gut. Cholestyramine should not be given within one hour of this preparation. Severe liver damage may occur in alcoholics and heavy drinkers who take paracetamol.
