Fiery Jack Cream

How does it work?

This preparation contains a combination of four active ingredients, capsicum oleoresin, diethylamine salicylate, glycol salicylate and methyl nicotinate. Capsicum oleoresin is a naturally-occurring product obtained from a member of the capsicum pepper family. The active ingredient is capsaicin which is used as a counter-irritant. Counter-irritants, when applied to the skin, cause redness and heat to be produced. This distracts the brain from the original pain and therefore reduces the perception of pain. Diethylamine salicylate, glycol salicylate and methyl nicotinate are known as rubefacients (create a feeling of warmth when rubbed into the skin). They also act as counter irritants. This preparation is used to relieve the pain of rheumatoid arthritis, sciatica, lumbago and other muscular pains.
