How does it work?
Emedastine is an anti-histamine. It acts by blocking the action of histamine which is a chemical that is released when an allergic response occurs.

Warning!
- Avoid wearing contact lenses when using these eye preparations.
- This product may cause temporary blurring of vision. Do not drive or operate machinery until this has worn off.
Not to be used in
- Children under four years of age
- Known sensitivity or allergy to any ingredient
This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Certain medicines should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Side effects

- Dislike of light (photophobia)
- Swelling of a small area (local oedema)
- Stinging and blurring of vision
- Inflammation of the surface of the eye (keratitis)
- Dry eyes
- Watering eyes (lacrimation)
- Overgrowth of tissue and colour change in the eye (corneal infiltrates and staining)
- Inflammation of the lining of the nose (rhinitis) causing a blocked or runny nose
