Side effects

How can this medicine affect other medicines?

The following medicines may increase the sedative effect of flurazepam: Alcohol Ritonavir and sedating antihistamines such as chlorpheniramine. Flurazepam may increase or decrease blood phenytoin levels. Flurazepam taken with clozapine can result in a drop in blood pressure and breathing rate. This may lead to a loss of consciousness. This is a rare but serious adverse effect.
