How does it work?
Human chorionic gonadotrophin is obtained from the urine of pregnant women.
What is it used for?
- Delayed puberty in boys. This is when boys do not develop secondary sexual characteristics at the normal age (12 - 14 years old).
- Female infertility
- Oligospermia (low sperm count)
- Undescended testes
Use with caution in

- Boys who have not yet reached puberty
- Decreased kidney function

Not to be used in
- Tumours whose growth is affected by certain hormones
This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
Certain medicines should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding. However, other medicines may be safely used in pregnancy or breastfeeding providing the benefits to the mother outweigh the risks to the unborn baby. Always inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy, before using any medicine.

Side effects

- Tiredness
- Changes in mood
- Irritation in area of use
- Abnormal enlargement of breasts in men (gynaecomastia)
- Over stimulation of the ovaries causing production of many ova (eggs) in the woman.
- Excessive fluid retention in the body tissues, resulting in swelling (oedema)
- Pregnancy with two or more foetuses
