How can this medicine affect other medicines?
Tell your doctor or pharmacist what medicines you are taking, including those bought without a prescription and herbal medicines, before you start treatment with this medicine. Likewise, always check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking any new medicines during treatment with this one.
Bicalutamide must not be taken with the following medicines:
- terfenadine
- astemizole (unavailable in the UK)
- cisapride (unavailable in the UK).
Bicalutamide may possibly increase the blood thinning or anti-clotting effects of the anticoagulant medicine warfarin. Blood clotting times (INR) should be monitored if this medicine is added to warfarin treatment.
