Ingredients
2-3 beef bones
1 cup string beans (chopped)
2 stalks celery (chopped)
1 onion (chopped)
1 cup carrots (peeled & chopped)
1 cup potatoes (peeled & cut in squares)
1 cup cabbage (chopped)
1 cup spinach (cooked & chopped)
2 tomatoes (chopped)
1 cup rice (cooked)
1/2 tsp sage
1/2 tsp thyme
salt and pepper
Method
Place beef bones in a large sauce pan filled with water.
Bring to a boil, add salt and pepper.
Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
Add all the remaining ingredients except the rice.
Cook covered for about 30 minutes or until all vegetables are cooked.
Remove beef bones.
Adjust spices, add salt and pepper if required. Add rice and cook for another 15 minutes.
