My home needs colour advice; it's a 2-bed flat with books and clothes all over the place. We've not got much money but need change as my children and myself are suffering, please help.

To begin, have a really good sort through and take any old or unwanted clothes to a charity shop - anything you haven't worn for the last year.
Remember winter coats may not fit them this year. Look to buy plastic under bed storage boxes with lids or those that you vacuum all the air out - try Woolworths. Next put all your and your children's winter clothes in them and put under the beds. Ikea do a wall shelf that is £69 - Expedit it comes in white, birch or beech and is great for storing books, childrens games and toys. Ikea also do black shelves which cost £11.99 or £15.99 for longer ones and they can hold books and have a contemporary look.
