How to upload your webpages using Windows Commander
This is how to upload files to your website using Windows Commander
Remember that your webspace has to be activated first as described

When you have installed the software, open the Windows Commander
application and you will see a screen which looks like this.
The right hand pane is for files on your PC while the left hand pane is for files you have uploaded. This is naturally empty at first.
On the top level navigation bar, click Net and then FTP Connect. This takes you to the following screen.
Here you have to create a new connection. So click the button
New connection. This brings you to this screen, where you configure your connection to the Tiscali FTP server.
On this screen
Session is the name you chose for your webspace at Tiscali.
Host name (port) is always ftp.myweb.tiscali.co.uk and cannot change. Your username is your login address at Tiscali.
Fill in the details as shown above. Then click
OK
Now click
connect and you will see this screen
On the right hand pane click the arrow to display all the files on your PC, as in the screen below
The number
0 above the left hand pane shows that you are on session 0. Windows Commander allows you to have up to 10 FTP sessions at the same time.
If you prefer to switch the positions of the pane you can use the drop down menus to change the positions of
0 and
C
To upload files click the file and click
F5 Copy. To upload more than one at the same time hold down the
Ctrl key as you define the files to upload.
As the upload starts, you will see this screen.
Click
OK and you will see this screen showing the upload process
When you have finished, you will be returned to this screen, showing that your files have been uploaded successfully.
