Symptom
When I try to view my site I get an error message 530 Login incorrect! Invalid username and password
Solution
If you get this error message:
- Make sure that you are uploading to your website using a Tiscali group dialup or broadband connection. This includes WorldOnline, LineOne, Tiny, Gateway, and Screaming.net members. If you are trying to upload from another connection you will get this error message, so disconnect and try again using your Tiscali account.
- Check carefully that your username and password are entered correctly within your FTP client, and delete any spaces which may have been inserted after these. Gateway users must enter their username in the format XYZ43@ukgateway.net - not the john.smith@ukgateway.net alias. Then try again to upload.
- If you are still having problems, check your dial up settings, and make sure that the number 1470 is inserted in front of your dial up number.
