Symptom
When I try to upload I get an error message 421
Solution
All FTP servers allow just one session / connection at a time. If due to any reason, the session does not close or end properly (e.g., the connection breaks midway or is lost due to congestion in the network path.), the server doesn't come to know that the session has ended. Therefore, the next request for a session is not accepted. This is known as the 'lock-out period'.
This 'lock-out period' is for 30 minutes; and every attempt to establish a connection with the server during this time, gives error 421. Any request for connection sent after 30 minutes, is usually accepted by the server. So, to connect to your FTP server, please try again after 30 minutes.
