Service Pack 2 for Windows XP has been released as a critical Windows update to
provide protection from virus attacks, spyware and hackers. Once installed there
are improved security configuration options and more information about possible
security threats and computer activity.

- Enhancements to Windows XP's Automatic Updates with new technology to aid
dial-up customers in downloading updates more efficiently.
- Improvements to Outlook Express to help reduce unwanted e-mail by limiting
the possibility of your e-mail address being validated by potential spammers.
- The new Add-On Manager in Internet Explorer lets you easily view and
control add-ons to reduce the potential for crashes and enjoy a more
trouble-free browsing experience.
- Improved wireless support to simplify the process of discovering and
connecting to wireless networks.
