If your computer has been infected with MSBlast follow these steps to clean and protect your system.

Click on Start, then Run and then type command into the Run box and then click OK. In the command prompt screen which appears type shutdown -a and click Enter which will prevent your system from shutting down. Then type exit in the command prompt and click Enter which will close the application.
Once you have disabled MSBlast you need to protect your computer by downloading a Microsoft patch so that your system will not remain vulnerable to MSBlast. Select your operating system below to download the relevant Windows patch.

Hold down Ctrl and Alt at the same time on your keyboard and press Delete with your other hand. On the dialog box which appears click Task Manager and then the select the Processes tab along the top.
Click the Image Name column to organize the items alphabetically. Look for the words MSBlast, Lovsan, Blaster, Teekids or MSLaugh. If you see any of these click on the name so that it becomes highlighted, then click End Process. Then close the Task Manager.
Click Start, then Search for any of the above-mentioned files on your C: drive. If you do locate instances of such files delete them.
Reboot your computer and you can now reconnect to the Internet although it would be advised to install a firewall to protect yourself from further threats. To find out more click here.
