Q) What are the correct TCP/IP settings for Windows 98?
If you Double Click on My Computer, then Double Click on Dial up Networking. You will see an icon called 'Make New Connection' and one that may be called 'Tiscali' or Lineone. If you Right Click (right mouse button) on the icon that represents your connection to the Internet then select Properties. Click on the Server Types tab, then ensure you have the following settings.
Then press the TCP/IP settings button and check that your settings match the picture below
