If you read your mail using Microsoft Outlook, and are having problems, the first step is to check your settings.
- To do this, open Outlook, and on the top navigation bar, click Tools
and then Services (or in some versions of Outlook Accounts)

- When you click Services
you will see this screen:

- Here, click the name of your connection, and then click
Properties. You will then see this screen:

- Here, check that your email address is correct. Then click servers
to go to this screen:

- Here, check that the Incoming mail POP3 and Outgoing mail SMTP servers are set correctly as in this screen. Check that your username appears correctly in the field Incoming mail server - account name
then click the tab Connections to see this screen:

- Here, make sure that Connect using my phone line has a dot to the left of it, and that the Modem - use the following dial up networking connection is set to Tiscali.
Then click the Properties button to see this screen:

- On this screen you need to check you are calling the right Tiscali number for your package. These are:

- Make sure the figure 1470, is in front of the number you are
dialling. Then click Options to see the next screen.

- Here, check that the settings are shown, and click Security

- Check that the
settings are as shown, and then click the Networking tab

- Unless you are on a network, make sure that only the Internet protocol TCP/IP box is checked. Then click Properties.
You will then see this screen:

- On this screen make sure that the Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS Server address automatically have a dot in the button beside them.
Then click OK to return to the previous screen. Once there click the sharing
tab to see this screen:

On this screen, make sure the settings are as shown. Then click the Networking tab, and once on that screen, click settings.
You will then see this screen:

Check that the settings are as shown, and then click OK
