How to deal with problems opening attachments in Outlook Express

Troubleshooting Outlook Express- Viewing attachments

Symptom
When you double-click an Internet shortcut in an Outlook Express e-mail message, your Web browser may not start or connect to the Web page.

Solution
The usual cause of this annoyance is a setting in Outlook Express 6 which is blocking you viewing attachments. To fix this problem:

• Open Outlook Express
• Click Tools on the top navigation bar
• Click Options
• Then click the Security tab.
• Uncheck the box called Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened which could potentially be a virus
• Click Apply and then
• OK
