If you use Outlook Express you can continue receiving mail from previous
accounts although you must ensure that your mail settings are configured to dial
Tiscali Broadband, otherwise you will be prompted to connect on a previous
Internet connection, rather than on your existing Broadband account. This can be
done following these simple steps:
- Open Outlook Express and then click on Tools and then Accounts to view your mail accounts.
- Highlight the mail account you wish to receive emails from and then click on the Properties button on the right hand side.
- You will then see the General tab of the
Mail account properties where you will be able to see your username. Click
on the Connection tab along the top.
- Here you will see the connection details for the
mail account. If the checkbox is unticked, tick it and you will see the
default dial-up connection which is currently being dialled. In the example it has been set to dial a Tiscali connection and needs to
be changed to dial the new Broadband account.
Click on the arrow to the right of the account name so that you can
scroll down the list of dialup connections.
- Select the Tiscali Broadband connection from the
drop-down list and then click on the OK button at the bottom of the
properties box.
If you would like to set up Outlook Express to collect emails from your
new Broadband email address instructions for how to setup a new account are
