As global warming is something that most people have been thinking about, we wanted to give you a chance to do your bit for the environment. We have teamed up with WindSave and are giving you the chance to win a turbine for your home and a copy of The White Planet on DVD.
The Windsave WS1200 is a revolutionary micro-wind turbine system, designed to supplement the supply of electricity drawn from the National Grid.
The WS1200 is a grid-connected system. Its unique design allows the system to connect directly into the ring main of the property via a fused spur outlet. This enables less electricity to be drawn from the National Grid when the WS1200 is generating power, which can result in reduced electricity bills from your utility supplier.
The WS1200 is a wall-mounted micro-wind turbine system which uses specifically designed anti-vibration bracketry, and is professionally installed by our Windsave trained, nominated and Government accredited installers.

Windsave conducts a full site assessment, to establish the suitability of your site, prior to installation.
The WS1200 system synchronises with the mains supply in your property and the revolutionary design enables the 'green electricity' produced
to take priority over the supply from the National Grid. This enables you to utilise the 'green energy' first before seamlessly drawing from National Grid, to meet demand.
The simple design of the WS1200 system allows it to be installed in approximately 4 hours.
When generating, the WS1200 system supplies electricity into the ring main circuit of the proper ty. As all ring main circuits are in effect parallel connections, the turbine has the ability to supply power to one or all of the products or appliances that are connected to the ring main circuit. This is provided that the demand for electricity does not exceed the maximum power that the wind turbine can supply, in which case any additional electricity is then supplied by the mains.
The Windsave system is fully accredited under the DTI's Low Carbon Buildings Programme, as are our appointed installers. Customers may receive up to 30% of the fully installed cost (exclusive of VAT) from the Energy Saving Trust via the DTI's Low Carbon Buildings Programme (conditions apply). For further information, please contact the Energy Saving Trust on 0800 915 0990 or visit www.lowcarbonbuildings.org.uk.
Windsave conducts a full site assessment, prior to installation. Our fully trained Windsave site assessors will evaluate your property and advise on structural viability and the suitability of the wind location at your specific site which should have an annual average wind speed of at least 5m/s (for properties between 4.5m/s and 5m/s, a more critical assessment may allow installation*).
