The biggest team in the game decide they want to play again
Blizzard, a company best known for being the god-like genius behind the MMORPG that is World of Warcraft, is getting ready to stop counting all the money it made from the Wrath of The Lich King WoW expansion pack - and get back in the business of making new games. Enter Diablo III sequel to 2000's Diablo II - a dark fantasy action themed RPG, where the player must play a lone hero and fight the very nasty Lord Terror and all his minions in a proper battle between heaven and hell. Players create a hero from one of five classes, each equipped with an array of spells and abilities. There are new classes like the witch doctor which bring new gameplay options to the table. Returning classes, like the barbarian, have been completely reworked with new skills and abilities. There's also a whole raft of new customisation options which will provide the opportunity to really build a unique RPG character from the ground-up - and tailored to the player's specific requirements. In addition to battling the hordes of the Burning Hell cooperatively with friends over Battle.net, players will be able to adventure through the world of Diablo III solo. The title also builds on the random environments of the previous Diablo games by introducing a host of new ways to create random scripted events throughout the game - which is something that's completely new to us. The idea of random scenario generation creates a new type of RPG with almost limitless possibilities. If anyone can pull this off, Blizzard can - especially considering the type of budget they now have at their disposal after the phenomenal success of World of Warcraft. A full release is scheduled for both PC and Mac in March.
