Grand Theft Auto IV
Format: PS3, Xbox 360.Due: April
The most hotly anticipated game of 2008, bar none.
Grand Theft Auto IV promises more of the free roaming ‘anything goes’ crime action as enjoyed in previous titles.
Details are thin on the ground but we know that the action takes place in Liberty City (based on New York); regular episodic updates will be available via Xbox Live and actions have deeper meanings than before.
These include choosing exactly how to steal a car – even down to how you break the window! Interacting more with characters (you can now call them rather than they always calling you) and more new guns than you could shake a 12-gauge at.
A release is scheduled for April but as the game has slipped twice before we won’t be holding our breath.
