Default While all eyes are on Chelsea and Man United...

Surely only a fool would write off Arsenal from winning the premiership...

And perhaps after several years of some of the best played football in the league, it would be just reward?

The league is very open this season and still a number of teams could win if utd and Chelsea slip up ,Today we could be 5 points clear or one point behind thats how close the league is this year .

Well spurs are just 3 points behind United and have a better away record.. city if they win their game in hand are two points behind United....

Tottenhams form guide over last 6 league games matches United... and of course city are unbeaten...

Uniteds saving grace is of course they have been away to spurs, chelsea, liverpool - oh and Burnley....!

I would love to see Arsenal win ( behind City of course )
They play some sublime football and a pleasure to watch....it would be well deserved

When the gooners sold T Henry everyone wrote the gooners off. I had hoped at the time Mr Adebayor would be shown the door as well but it wasn't to be. When Adebayor was finally sold the predictions of doom & gloom were everywhere.
Me I just mocked Man Citys big spend policy & was toll wait & see , you will learn ... well....

How is that big sped policy working for Man C? sooo many draws agains lower teams & a win against run of play against the gooners ... but I digress.....

Without Adebayor & T Henry a few of the decent youngsters have come through & started to shine. There is a better unity in the team without the "big stars" displaying their egos & goals are being scored from more than just the recognised front men.

Liverpool's form is woeful & Man U have ridden some luck recently
Chelsea have 2 up front that are clicking & getting goals & it will be interesting to see if that form continues if Anelka or Drogba get injured.

Man City are stuttering on draws & look to me fragile in midfield. As pointed out , one goal made the change from 2 point lead to 5 point lead though Arsenal have a game in hand. Granted that game has to be won to cut the gap to one games result making a change at the top.

Can the gooners win the league this year ? I think so if they stay injury free, but then I will also say that of Chelsea.
Prediction
Top 2 Chelsea & Arsenal
Man U 3rd
4th Spurs (god that hurt to say)
5th Man C

Well I always like to help out when i can

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...ch-report.html

To summize:

POSSESSION (%)
City 39 Arsenal 61
SHOTS OFF TARGET
City 3 Arsenal 12
SHOTS ON TARGET
City 5 Arsenal 7
TACKLES
city 20 Arsenal 28
CORNERS
City 3 Arsenal 12

SUCCESSFUL PASSING (%)
City 73 Arsenal 82

TERRITORIAL ADVANTAGE (%)
City 55 Arsenal 45 (though it could be said it was Arsenal playing keepball in their own half!!)

It's obviously goals that count, but if it was a boxing match the game would have been stopped in Arsenals favour well before the 70th minute...to save city further punishment

So they thrashed us to a 1-4 deficit?

I was there mush.
There was one team who looked most likely to score on the day, and I sat comfortably feeling that it wasn't Arsenal.

I said "a 1-4 deficit" not "a 1-4 defeat".

We switched off and gifted you the second goal ... and your first had more than a touch of good fortune about it.
