Question Fluorescent Lighting Efficiency
The Bloke tells me it costs less to leave the kitchen light on, rather than switch it off every time I leave the kitchen.

So, is he correct???

It's a bit like "The Bloke" taking you out among other things mico, uses a lot of energy getting you excited and if it's for less than 2 hours it's not cost effective.

It depends on how long you are leaving the kitchen for. Starting a tube typically takes 15-30 miniutes worth of power. So if you are going out for half an hour or more turn it off, if you're just nipping out for a pee leave it on.
