Vampire make-up tips

You will need:
White face paint or light (preferably white) face powder (or find out how to make your own)
Black eyebrow pencil
Dark grey eyeshadow
Red lipstick or lip-liner
Make-up brush
1. Moisturise your skin.
2. Apply a thick layer of white face paint or light coloured face powder to all
exposed skin - face, neck, hands until you they are completely covered and well
blended. You're aiming for a slightly gaunt look, but not emaciated.
3. Lightly apply grey eyeshadow or dark blusher under the cheek bones and temples
to give a darker, sunken appearance. Use a medium sized brush to blend these into
very subtle shadows.
4. The eyes are extremely important. Apply black face paint or very dark eye shadow
to the upper and lower lids. It should be applied darker close to the eyelashes and
in the hollows around the eyeball. You can press gently with your finger and you will
feel the hollow in the skull in which the eyeball rests. Your shadowing should not go
beyond it and the outer edges of the shadow should gradient from darker to lighter
until they blend softly into the pale flesh colour.
5. The sinister look of a vampire's eyebrows is essential to the look. Using a black
eyebrow pencil with a sharp edge begin adding very small hair-like lines on the skin
in the same direction that the eyebrows grow. For maximum effect the top of the
eyebrows should have a diabolical upward slant.
6. For the finishing touch paint on a few drops of blood running down from the corner
of your mouth using a red lip-liner or lipstick.
7. If you have used face paints apply light coloured powder over your makeup. It's
important to pat the powder on, if you rub it, it will smear. The powder will absorb
the face paint and set it, so apply as much as needed and gently brush off the excess
with a large, soft powder brush.
TIP: Wash off with warm soapy water.
